The cookie allows the Website to identify the user’s PC (by way of the information memorized therein) each time that the user reconnects to the Website using the same PC.

1. What type of cookies does the Website use

Cookies are not all the same and can be distinguished due to:

  1. duration: cookies can be either “session” cookies (when they are stored exclusively for the duration of the browsing session on the Website and are deleted when the browser is closed), or “permanent” (they are stored for a longer time, until they expire or are deleted by the User);
  2. the entity who installs them on the User's terminal: cookies can be either “first part cookies” (when they are released, installed and managed by the owner or operator of the website visited by the User) or “third parties cookies” (when they are released, installed and managed a different entity from the owner or operator of the website visited by the User);
  3. their purpose: cookies can be "technical" (functional to allow the telematic transmission of data over the network or strictly necessary for the provision of the services offered by the website and therefore necessary to ensure regular browsing and use of the site), "analytical" (aimed at monitoring and analysing site navigation) or "profiling/advertising/targeting" (aimed at creating profiles of website users in order, e.g., to send targeted advertising, i.e. in line with the preferences expressed by the user during browsing).

Technical cookies

These are the cookies used with the aim of enabling browsing and therefore the electronic transmission of data on the net, or strictly necessary to provide the services granted by the Website. These are generally temporary cookies, the so-called "session cookies". They are released by the Website on the User’s computer during browsing but are only memorized for the duration of the browsing session. This means that when the user closes the browser, the cookies are erased automatically and disappear, and do not remain memorized on the computer. Technical cookies, however, may also be permanent.

They are formed by random numbers generated by the server and are used to help ensure that the Website can be browsed safely and efficiently. This kind of cookies make it easier for the user to browse the Website, for example by remembering the data the user has provided when filling in forms on the Website (so-called “user input cookies”), recognizing the user after logging into the Website (so-called “authentication cookies”), customizing the interface of the Website on the basis of the preferences indicated by the User, to gather bulk information on the number of visitors to the Website and on the most visited pages (“cookies analytics” when used by adopting IP masking mechanisms), etc..

These cookies do not require the User’s prior explicit consent as they strictly necessary for the purposes of supplying the service requested by the user of the Website (art. 6, par.1, lett. b) of the GDPR).

Cookies analytics

These cookies are used for statistical analysis related to the use of the Website and to monitor its correct functioning. When used by adopting IP masking mechanisms, they may be considered technical cookies and may therefore be installed without a specific consent. Otherwise, the use of such cookies requires the express and informed consent of the User (art. 6, par.1, lett. a) of the GDPR). The analytical cookies used by the Website adopt partial IP masking mechanisms by default. However, if the User expressly consents to the use of analytical cookies, the partial IP obfuscation mechanisms will be deactivated.

Please note that User’s consent will only be required at the time of the first access the Website: thereafter, we will store your consent through the use of a technical cookie to allow you direct access to the pages of the Website (without prejudice to your right to deactivate/activate cookies at any time or to delete them, see point 4 below). Consent may be requested again (i) six (6) months have elapsed since the banner was last presented, (ii) if the conditions of the processing have changed significantly, or (iii) if it is impossible for the Website to know whether a particular cookie has already been stored on the device.
